Are you planning a city trip to Valencia soon? And are you a real food lover? Then this blog is for you. When you go to a new city for a few days, you want to make the most of it, also in terms of nice restaurants. Our colleague Fleur, Junior Brand and Content employee at team Vakantiebeurs recently went to Valencia and listed her favorite restaurants!

1. Voltereta Bali
"During my trip to Valencia, we ate at Voltereta Bali on the recommendation of acquaintances. The moment you step inside you imagine yourself in a Balinese world. You walk in through a kind of jungle, where you then enter a very beautiful space. You feel as if you are in the middle of Bali. Of course the food is also very important, and the choice is huge! The menu consists of dishes to share; from different gyoza's to burrata with tomato and strawberries, and from sushi to a Japanese curry. Do you like a nice cocktail with your food? These are also on the menu. Fortunately, the prices here are not too bad either; we drank a bottle of white wine for only €10.50! We had a wonderful evening here where you didn't feel like you were in the middle of Valencia. Would you like to go to Voltereta Bali? Don't forget to make a reservation in advance. This restaurant is actually always full so it is important to book as early as possible. Nice to know: There are a total of four different Voltereta restaurants in Valencia, worth checking them out!" The address of Voltereta Bali is Gran Via Marqués del Turia, 59 Valencia and here is a link to the website!

2. San Tommaso
"Wow! What a delicious Italian restaurant. This restaurant is right in the center of Valencia and the long lines at the door do not lie, it is an absolute must. The decor of the restaurant, the service, not to mention the food, are all very good. Please note that the portion sizes of the main courses are very large. So keep this in mind when ordering your appetizer. As you can see from the pictures, we enjoyed the delicious pizzas. Our favorite; Pizza San Tommaso. The name says it all; the specialty of the restaurant! They come to top the pizza at the table for you, how nice!" The address of San Tommaso is Calle Correjería 39- Barrio la Seu 46001 Valencia and herewith also a link to the website.

3. Casa Montaña
"Would you like to enjoy an evening of real Spanish tapas? Then book a table at Casa Montana! This is an authentic Spanish restaurant with friendly staff and delicious wines. The tapas you eat here is just a bit different than at the 'standard tapas joints' and the interior of the restaurant breathes Spanish atmospheres." The address of Casa Montaña is Calle José Benlliure, 69 Valencia and here is also a link to the website!

4. Dulce de Leche
"My recommendation for a delicious breakfast or lunch is Dulce de Leche. As a lover of cakes, my heart really raced here. Fresh sandwiches, bagels, croissants, smoothies, cakes and more, they have it all! We had breakfast here several times. Order your sandwiches and cakes inside and enjoy them in the sunshine on the terrace. You have two Dulche de Leche in Valencia: Dulce de Leche França and Dulce de Leche Central. Do you already know what you will choose?" The address of Dulce de Leche where I went is C/ de Jesús, 71, 46007 Valencia and here is also a link to the website!

5. Boa Beach
"Do you love an instagrammable breakfast or lunch? Boa beach got your back! This restaurant on the promenade is completely decorated in Ibiza atmospheres. They have great wicker rocking sofas to eat in. Choose from sandwiches, poke-bowls, pancakes, acaibowls, toasts, bagels, wraps, salads and more! As I write this my mouth is watering again and I want to go back immediately, that says it all right!" Boa Beach's address is Passeig de Neptú 62, 46011 Valencia and here is also a link to the website!

These were our colleague Fleur's restaurant tips. Do you have plans to go to Valencia? It is always smart to make reservations at restaurants in Valencia in advance, especially in high season. It's a shame if you can't get to the restaurant you want to go to. Excited for even more travel inspiration? Stop by Vakantiebeurs 2024, Jan. 11 to 14 at Jaarbeurs, Utrecht.
